What is Erectile Dysfunction?
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a medical condition characterized by the struggle to attain or sustain an erection suitable for sexual activity.
This is a prevalent challenge for many men that doesn't adhere to a specific age group and can impact individuals at different phases of life, but its frequency often increases with age. Seeking professional guidance and exploring the available treatments are important steps toward managing and addressing this common concern, allowing for a more fulfilling and comfortable life.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
- Both are oral, FDA-approved prescription medications used to treat erectile dysfunction. They belong to a class of drugs called PDE5 inhibitors.
- They relax the blood vessels in the penis so blood flow can increase when you're sexually stimulated. Sildenafil is taken about an hour before sex and lasts 4–6 hours. Tadalafil can be taken up to 36 hours before sex. Daily low-dose Tadalafil (5mg) lets you get an erection without timing a dose. Sexual stimulation is still required — the medication doesn't cause an erection on its own.
- Most men see meaningful improvement in erection firmness, duration and confidence within the first few doses. Consistency (and honest feedback with your clinician on what's working) is where the benefit lives.
- With a full glass of water, on an empty stomach or with a normal meal. Follow the dosing your clinician sets — don't take more than directed.
- Headache, facial flushing, nasal congestion, upset stomach, mild dizziness or short-lived vision changes. Rare but serious: priapism (an erection lasting more than four hours) — that needs immediate medical care.
- People with severe heart disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or those taking nitrates should avoid ED medications. Share your full medication list at intake so your clinician can flag anything relevant.
- Sildenafil and Tadalafil at 10mg or 20mg are taken as needed for sex — no schedule to catch up on. If you're on daily Tadalafil 5mg, take the missed dose the same day if you remember; otherwise skip it and resume the next day. Don't double up.
- Room temperature (68–77°F / 20–25°C), away from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children. Don't use past the expiration date on the pack.
